Did anyone else watch this? Did it seem to you like he had a lot of the same philosophies and advice that is constantly given here? And the number of excuses these people had? I don't think most of them even realized they were making excuses. We seem to be an oblivious society when it comes to living healthy. His daytime show this week is along the same lines. He has the eating part down, I wonder if he will touch on exercise and just what he will say.

I love Dr. Phil... Great advice.. to the point and makes a lot of things make a lot of sense...On the other hand, I was listening to Howard Stern this AM and he said Dr. Phil sits there with his belly hanging over his belt and four chins and preaches a weight loss program. I thought about what Howard said.
But, I think it is behavioral/Mental and Dr. Phil is VERY versed in human behavior. I am sure there are marriage consuelors out there who are divorced.
Dr. Phil will be successful b/c he is teaching a lifestyle change and not a quick fix..

He did mention his own health. He plays tennis EVERY day and is quite the athlete, but he has back problems from old football injuries that hold him back. He makes fun of himself, but says he is in the best shape he can be in with what he has to work with. I don't see the double chin though. And his arms and legs look pretty good in shorts and short sleeves.

And now another celeb note. Last night I was watching Sharon Osbourne and she said that, just 5 years ago, she used to weigh 220 lbs. I didn't believe it until she showed pictures. She weighs 120 now. She isn't very tall either. I was amazed. I think she is so cute.

I agree, he does look well. Leave it to Howard to point out that kind of thing.
I believe Sharon had the Gastric bypass procedure, the one that Carnie Wilson and Al Roker have had. Supposed Star Jones has secretly had it as well!?

Sharon did have the bypass. She said she was having major health problems and had to do something or die. Her problems were probably a precursor to her bout with colon cancer. It's amazing how many of us have to get seriously ill before we make that decision to live healthy.
