Hello, I was wondering if the dizzy spells I've been having lately could be attributed to a multi-vitamin. I used to take one everyday, but slacked off for a while, and took two for the first time today. This happens frequently when I just start taking a multi-vitamin. I stand up and everything becomes completely white -- my vision goes out, and I feel like I am going to pass out. It never happens when I stand up quickly -- only if I take a multi-vitamin after a prolonged period of not doing so, and then stand up quickly does it happen. Sorry if this doesn't make sense, but the whole fainting episode just happened to me, and I'm still a bit dizzy. Thanks for your time.

You should check with your doctor.

Dizziness can be pretty serious.

You could be allergic to someting in your supplement, but that doesn't usually cause fainting.

RT...if I dont eat something before taking that vitamin I feel like Im not going to be going anywhere until I do. Dizzy could be one of the things I associate with empty stomach vitamin taking. I was surprised the first time I did that. I had no idea a vitamin could do that to anyone but you probably are experiencing the same as we all have. If you are having issues even after eating before that vitamin you might talk to the pharmacy and ask them about that. I dont think its a big deal but maybe you need to change the brand or if not eating first then try that.
