Well basically I kind of went into a rut with my diet with many vacations in the past so I'm putting myself into an extensive regiment to get myself back into shape. I am 195lbs. at 5'11" and I'm not sure exactly what percentage body fat I am but I'm guessing it's medium to high (im not flabby though). What I want to do is basically go through a week long detox diet to flush my system of any junk food / meat i've eaten recently, then move onto a high fiber vegetarian meal plan (because I am a pescatarian, meaning i eat fish) with soy protein and any protein I get from fish. While I start my meal plan (which I need help figuring out portions) I want to do cardio and toning exercises to tone my abs, chest, and back. on my days off of those exercises my other goal is to bulk up on my biceps. my cardio of choice is tae bo, bc i have problems running on pavement and track so tae bo will be my cardio choice until I get a treadmill. the only thing I'm worrying about with cardio is burning muscle instead of fat. how can I limit the cardio to burn just fat instead of hitting the muscle?
my workout will be part calastetics (50 situps when I wake up 30 pushups after and the same before bed and i will slowly increase the amount as I feel comfortable) and part weightlifting through my universal. can someone give me some advice or tips on the journey i'm about to embark on?
