I am having a hard time cutting out the fat from my diet. I have been trying to cut down on unhealthy things and have been tracking what I eat. I've been able to hit or be a little under in my calories/ carbs and etc but am ALWAYS way over on my fat intake. Any suggestions, help would be appreciated. Thanks ;)

Have a look here: http://www.freetrainers.com/FT/jsp/Tip5.jsp

Give you a rough idea of what types of foods you should be eating for your goals. Also try having 6 meals over the day instead of 3. That was recommended to me, and since I started eating 5-6 meals I am even feel I have more energy. As I also had a bad diet before hand. You also need to ask yourself how serious you are about loosing weight... and make sure you have the disipline to not overeat (if I read your post right) Make sure you do not under eat however. So many people who want to loose weight think by eating a lot less food will do the trick. Doing that makes your body store fat, making it really hard to burn fat. hope this helps a bit.

Doing resistance training and cardio will also help a lot. Cardio especially will help you with your running. And running is also one of the best if not the best natural aerobic activity you can do. I always found running good for aiding in weight loss.

Take a close look at what you are consuming. Write down everything you put in to your mouth for 7 days. What ever has fat in it, try to change to a low fat product, what ever you are eating out of a box, (processed) stop eating it. Also cut out any canned products.
Hope this helps.

Our bodies need fat..... That's not something bad. Often we eat way too much sugar (carbs) and not much fat BUT we'll still risking getting fat....
The only problem with fat is that 1 gr has 9 calories instead of 4 for the carbs and proteins so one can easily got too much.
Try to avoid all saturated fat and you'll be okey.
