before i workout in the morning, do i have to have a carb? normally 2 scoops of whey give me all the energy i need (i'm a pretty active person), so would the morning carbs be necessary? (ps- im on a high protien/low carb diet). thanks

you need carbs my friend a 30% protein 40% carbs and 30% fats is a good start. But do what works. Maybe if you have a blnder through some oats in there with your protein shake.

BigMan, it depends on what your goals are. Fill out your profile and provide a little more information on yourself.
I don't think you HAVE to do anything. Some folks swear by working out on an empty stomach, others think eating first is better.
