You really shouldn't take it right before your workout as you may cramp during. If you do, drink lots of water. If you're on the maintenance phase, you really only need to take it once per day. Are you still loading?

You shouldn't have any problems with cramps when doing your work out after taking creatine BUT (as somebody else quite clever in here said once) since you need to take your creatine with sugar then you might risk the negative sides of a insulin spike if working out for too long.

Try to do a search. Looots of posts about creatine in here.

I heard the very best creatine is the effervescent stuff. Is this true?? I heard you don't even have to do a loading phase.

Stick with the basic white powder...this was the first and has been proven to work! Effervescent, serum...they're just too expensive and don't work as well as the good old powder. Make sure you look for the Creapure stamp...

Just one thing joe, your body need an insulin spike to maximum absorbtion of the creatine. Take it with some dextrose or other sugar AND of course drink A LOT of water (yes you'll be running to the toilet 20 times daily!!)

No no, not serum guys I mean effervescent powder. It comes in seperate packets in a little box. It's supposed to absorb into your system a whole lot better without adding anything except water. I read numerous articles about it.
-By the way philia what does

lol joe, it means that life is always beautiful.....

I wasn't taking about serum, I know the effervescent one. The only change with this one and the ordinairy ones (the powder) is that you already got sugar in the effervescent ones. SO you don't need to put anything else with it. BUT it's more expensive since it's the "creatine fabricant" who put in the sugar for you and not you......

It's all a question about money..... (like so many other things....)

I read about creasol it's supposed to be a cheap and better product. But I'd stick to what Philia says. Thanks alot Philia, man beauty and brains. Too bad I'm not in europe anymore...

I dont know to much about it. All I remember when I read about it was it doesn't absorb in the system as good as effervescent but it is supposedly better than the old white powder form. A 5 gram serving of creasol will really deliver 4 grams into your system where as a 5 gram serving of effervescent will deliver about 4.8 out of 5 grams. But it is cheaper than effervescent. That is the study that I read.

There's so much hype in the way of some companies claim their product effectively delivers creatine into the system. Many creatine "transport" products include ingredients like taurine, alpha lipoic acid, higher dosages of creatine, etc. etc. However, do they work better than plain old creatine monohydrate powder? They'll say anything to sell their product as the "best" creatine in the market.

Hmmm. Oddly enough I just came off my first cycle of creatine, and I noticed a big difference in the weight I can handle. Is this normal?? It would seem so, but I thought the effects would be more permanent.

I think the point that I was trying to make was that this stuff either comes with other ingredients or in different forms (liquid, powder, effervescent, etc.). All I'm saying is that for the most part I saw no difference in the plain vs. the version with other ingredients.

Thanks. But what about losing strength while cycling?? I know you have gone through a couple creatine cycles, did you notice a drop??
