I don't think I'm jogging right. When I do it feels like the bone under my knees hurts really bad. Am I just not jogging right? I just tried to jog tonight for the first time in a REALLY LONG time and it was quite painful.
Any suggestions on how to jog right?
Tips?!?!
Help?!?!
Please?!?!
:)
I did see a couple of things on here about standing on your tip toes and stretching the muscles on the front of your leg and stuff.

Never was a jogger, never believed in it. Sorry, can't help you here on my part. :) You may find some answers here, or at least a link to your answer. http://running.about.com/

Try out this site. One of my friends is a marathoner and he gave me this site once for other references.

it could be your foot motion/foot shape. the majority of people don't take foot shape, motion, and body type into account when buying running shoes, and it can cause a lot of problems. this could be the case in your situation.

i know that's a long link but roadrunner sports is a good tool for finding a good shoe.
now what i've said does not mean that your problems are because of your shoes, it's just a common explanation. it would be a good idea to see a doctor to make sure you don't have any cartilage damage in your knees or stress fractures in your tibia.
hope that helps.

I use the bike or walk on the treadmills.
Outside I like to ride my bike.

Thanks everyone. I appreciate the information. :)
I have a Dr's appt Thursday afternoon. Going to start going to a dietician and get on an exercise program. Right now I'm doing Pilates or walking on the treadmill for 30 minutes to an hour every week night. Just not getting anywhere and it's getting discouraging.
I'll ask the doc about shoes, how to run etc. and see what she says. :)
Thanks again!

I had a problem with pain in my knees, and it turned out I needed shoe inserts to straiten my alignment.

You have shin splints (sp?) They feel like hell, trust me I know, but eventually they will go away. Don't let the pain discourage you to much... (even though its easy to say that, not so easy to do it)
