Hi everyone! Im new to FT's and Im hoping some of you will be able to help me with some questions. I'm a 26 yr old and have been over weight all of my life. I joined Weight Watchers 7 months ago and have slowly lost 38 lbs. I have about 40 more to lose. I started reading various articles on here about exercise and weight loss and Im confused. It seems like there are so many differences of opinion on what works best at losing weight. I started using a treadmill about 2 months ago and just recently started jogging/running on it. I also started using weights to work my arms. Im not trying to get big or anything, Im just following an exercise guide I read about. Im hearing a lot about HIIT and I think thats where my confusion comes.
#1- Is it "ok" if I dont work out in the am, but work out in the pm..will I still burn calories either way?
#2-Is HIIT the only effective way to lose weight, or am I doing enough just by using the treadmill 5 times a week?
Im sorry I sound like such a newbie, but Im trying to learn what works best for me, and what will help me lose weight and stay healthy. Thanks in advance :)

Read in the forum General Exercise and Weight Training's thread where the red tack is to help you understand HIIT. You want to make your exercise beneficial and help you with your weight loss.
I exercise when I can, my schedule is difficult so I have to fit it in whenever possible and that is usually in the evenings. The way I look at it and from what I have read, there are many opinions and many of them right stating when exercise is more beneficial, but to me if I am getting off my keister and working out, I am doing more than I was sitting on it!
I would use a weight lifting program that you work on your total body, try FT's here, it is good and it is free!
Good luck with your goals!

Work out when it works for you and when you will stick with it.
Alternate HIIT workouts with slower/longer treadmill workouts. You will adapt to just using the treadmill - try to vary the types of cardio you do.
