Could anyone advise me of an alternative to this exercise as this has come out in my program but because I am doing my program at home I am unable to do it.
Many Thanks

Work on doing negatives. Basicly, use a stool or other implement to get your chin above the bar, lift your legs off the bar, and then lower yourself as slowly as possible. Eventually you work up to static holds, where you hold yourself at various positions, and then on to doing a concentric pull up or chin up.
-------------- The best feeling in the world is the feeling you get after a tough set of squats after you step back from the power rack and throw up all over the floor.

"Wrestler" I've also found this to be affective for me. I also use my own home gym but go to the neighborhood park and use the monkeybars. I also find using my legs as minimum as possible to get a affective workout. :dumbbell: good advice

Thats another great way. At first you may have to do whats called a kip, basicly kicking your way up. As you get stronger, you can reduce and eventually eliminate that.

I meant that I "USE" my legs, but as minimum as possible. I have difficulty w/ this exercise too, but try to modify in various ways, as to not get dicouraged, and built the muscles up. Thanx
