Is the option of switching one exercise for another only available in FT Pro?
I went in to print my workouts for tomorrow and the rest of the week, but there is one recommended exercise that I don't have the bar for doing it (Wide Grip Chins to the front). What can I do in place of this that will achieve the same results?

You can change it on FT Pro. You can also look under the health resources section to find a good replacement.

Thank you!! :)
I'll go check it out now and see what it comes up with!

I can't lift my own body weight on that one, so I use the machine where you sit down and pull the wide bar down to your chest or back (depending on the muscle group). For that one, I just make sure that I'm pulling it straight down (not leaning back) and pull it to my front. Most of the All-in-one machines have the bar for that.
Hope it helps,

Thanks Jonathan! Trust me, I wouldn't be able to pull myself up if I had one of those bars that goes in the door frame.
I don't have access to the other exercise that you mentioned though. :(
I do have a weight bench with a few options. It has a bar bell and the butterfly apparatus. However, butterflies work a different group of muscles, right?

I had the same problem. BB! had suggested that we continue daily with this excersize to build up strength. Trust me, it works!

Ok. I have a creative solution for you. This exercise is for pulling the weight from away from your head toward your body flexing the muscles just below your shoulder blades, right?
So... Do a headstand on the weight bench and lift the weights off the floor. Make sure that you are facing away from the bench so that you can pull the weight in front of your face.
If you do this, get pics. We'd all LOVE to see it!!!

:laugh::laugh: I'm sure you would!!! I'd be on Ripley's Believe it or Not if I could do that. :)

I knew you'd appreciate that. I had to demonstrate the concept to my wife to make sure it would be the same workout. :dumbbell:
Just trying to think creatively. Another option is to grab a tree branch and try to lift yourself on it. Granted, you are still talking about the full body weight.

I don't think I could stand on my head right now even with a wall behind me. There's no way I could get these tree trunk of legs up above my butt!!
Just to let you know how pitiful I am with carrying my body weight I can barely make it across the monkey bars on playground equipment. How pitiful is that for a 31 year old woman?

I understand. I just turned 30. I'm VERY physically active, but it still seems like I tire faster and the injuries hurt more and last longer.
