My name is Alvin. I am a US Marine (until May! woot!) and have been in good shape until about a year ago when I injured my back. 90% of my excercise was running and now I can't do that and it's killed my motivation to do anything else. So this last year my motabolism has dropped and I've gone from my personal prime weight (175lbs) to almost not making weight according to Marine Corps standards (197 lbs) for my height (5'11").

I just want to cut that 25 lbs back off (or probably more considering I've also lost a lot of muscle mass). I've never had to diet or watch what I ate so this is completely knew waters for me. So I welcome any help I can get! Dieting in the barracks is incredibly hard with a 2 ft tall fridge/freezer

My name is Katie. I am a student with not a lot of free time, college has wrecked havoc on my weight (fast food is my weakness and it is everywhere around school!) and I am looking to lose the weight. At my best I was 135 and a belly dancer I would love to get back to that, it is important for me to not just lose weight but to also be toned (I don’t think skinny is attractive if everything is flabby). I would love to find someone to talk to on here to keep each other motivated and track our progresses.

Hello my name is Sofia. I am also a student with a lot of free time. I weight 125 pounds and I am trying to get down to 95 or less. I am going to a wedding in New Jersey in May. I would really like to have a 'buddy' or someone who supports me and is going through what I am too.

My name is Crystal. I used to be in really good shape and lived in the gym for about 2 hours everyday. After I was told I couldn't go to the gym after a car accident for a couple weeks, I really fell out of habit. Then I got a new boyfriend and spent most of my free time with him. Soon I started working a different shift at work in which I wasn't as active. I got lazier and lazier. I was 115 lbs at my best and 19 BMI (if I remember correctly), now I am 150 lbs and I don't know my BMI but it is high! I would like to get back to the old me and I hope I find the support and push I have been needing. I am getting married in August and I want to feel amazing (and look it too)!

Hello everyone my name is Trevor I am currently at 193 lbs (im 6 ft tall) I am not what you might call fat but I have developed a bit of a innertube. My weightloss goal is 20 lbs, putting me at about 170 lbs. I have been going to the gym fairly reguarly but I tend to lose motivation quickly. I am sick and tired of not being the best that I can be.        I would appreciate any suggestions and support you guys can give and plan on being an active member of this community, and give some support of my own :D thanks alot.

Hi. My name is Kimberly and I'm 29 years old. I have been working out and trying to watch my diet for 3 weeks now. I am currently 170 which is considered obese for my height (5'2). My goal is to lose at least 1 lb a week. For 5 days a week I work out for about 1 1/2 hours. For an hour I do two workout programs on the treadmill with incline and weights and for the other half hour I work out with a choice of cardio, sculpt & toning exercises, and ab workout DVDs. I have protein shakes for breakfast, snack on fruits, yogurt, turkey slices, etc. twice a day, and have 1 full meal for dinner. This is my 3rd time trying to lose weight. The first time I tried, I went from 164 to 145 and guess what? I got pregnant! Lol. The 2nd time I was right back in the 160s and lost 14 lbs and then hit a plateau. I wasn't losing any more weight for a minute, and before I could give my body a chance to finish working I gave up. So here I am once again! My goal is to weight at least 125-130.

Hi Sophia,
Hi Sophia,

My name is Kimberly. I was wondering how old you were. 95 seems pretty small. I am hoping to get to 125 lbs. You don't have a long ways to go so good luck in achieving your weight loss goals and hope you can achieve your goal before the wedding. :)

Hi, my name is Chanel. I'm 19 and a 2nd year student. I have been roughly 139 pds since I was 16, however, I have gotten slightly taller, but lost muscle mass in the process. I am on here wanting to lose around 11-22pds, as I am  only 5'3. I mostly just want to start eating and living a healthy and get fit. A few of my goals apart fromt he wieght loss are to be exercising or jogging atleast 5 times per week, and eating healthy by cutting out junk food and sugary foods that I use to live on as a student, This includes alcohol. :)

Hey y'all! My name is Rachel and I'm a student as well - I figured I would get back in shape while I had the time over the summer! I'm currently 192lbs and 6 feet tall, and I'm looking to drop down to 175 or so. Any and all encouragement is welcome!! I tend to carry most of my weight in my belly and thighs, so by the end of the summer I want to feel comfortable wearing a crop top :)

The main problem of my life : I love eating! I like cooking, eating, having a drink with friends and I've been very very lazy with sport lately! As a consequence, I weight 147lbs for 5"3 which is way too much! I'd like to get rid of 25-30lbs ---> perfect! So, I'm here to support you and I count on your help to keep me motivated :)

Hey, I'm Sarah...I'm 21 and I've just come out of my 2nd year of college, and like many of you's, the fast food got the best of me. I'm in the worst shape I've ever been in, and would really like to get back to my old weight of 120lbs...115 would be even better! Only thing is I struggle with motivation. I'm hoping that having a physical schedule like this to look at every day, might help me stay on top of things...or someone willing to help me and make sure I'm doing what I'm suppose to, that would be great too!...and I'd be willing to return the favour! :)

Today is day 2 of trying to stay consistent in the gym. Currently I am 5'6 165 lbs and just turned 28 on Sunday. I spent 2 years in a call center quit smoking and BAM lbs started adding up. I've never been this out if shape or had a belly. I am trying to stay motivated and get healthy, hopefully lose between 30 and 35 lbs. lets all help each other out.

Hi everyone. I successfully went from 255lbs to 191lbs.. in about a year. My success came from changing my diet dramatically and beginning the couch to 5k program. A year passed, I slacked off, and went back up to 220lbs. I have been back at it again but am stuck at 200lbs. Just looking for encouragement and some butt kicking to get back into my routine. Any suggestions are welcome! BTW, 6' tall, 1580 calories per day diet.

Hi, I'm Erin! I just joined this site and I'm excited to get started with my workouts tomorrow! I'm currently a stay at home mom to a 4 year old who is my inspiration to get into better shape. After my son was born I used our treadmill and was able to lose about 60 pounds over an 8 month period. I still have about 20-30 to go so that I can be toned up and trim. I look forward to weighing in every week and seeing my progress!!

Hi All,
Name's CJ.  I'm 29 years old and although I feel fit enough my body fat % is 33.5.  To get it down to somewhere around 24% I need to loose 25 lbs or there abouts.  In high school I was healthy and in the 160s and after an accident in college I fell as far as 150 but was told I looked too skinny.  Since graduating and having a desk job (and learning that beer and wine are delicious!) I've peaked at 205 and on any given day can be between 198 and 202.  I think I would like to be about 175.  Signed up at the gym and have a new pair of sneakers; getting ready to work!
