Hey all,

New question....I do about 45 mins of outside and inside biking or on the stepper. My question is how many cardio sessions is okay to do in a day?

I don't want to be extreme but I enjoy biking alot....just making sure that doing 2...if I want 3 sessions is okay...of course, so long as I am fueling my body properly?

Definately, I'd say if you have the energy for it and are eating and taking in fluids properly. No harm done in enjoying what you do.

You can do as many as you want, but there will be a point of 'diminishing returns'. That is research shows that it takes at least 3 cardio sessions per week to show endurance adaptations. More even better, but at some point if rest is not adequate, performance in all areas will suffer sue to exhaustion. As obvious as this sounds, many do not 'heed' this and so in essence overextend themselves. All of us are different, and at different periods in our lives have different recovery thresholds if we have not been an 'athlete' all our lives.
