I found a 12 week program that has pretty intense weight lifting. 3day split.. 3days on 1 day off and then you repeat the split. The cardio portion say do no more than three sessions a week! I am a little concerned with that since I usually do about 5 sessions a week. The program states to 1 cardio( intervals) over the 3day split and one session 40-50mins on rest day. My goal is fat loss. Is the cardio enough or should I add some more?? :(

Hi shelbell8, welcome to FT. I think doing cardio 3x a week is enough... otherwise you wont be building any muscle... btw how's your diet?

Read the cardio ?'s sticky at the the top. Weight training will do more in the way of fat loss, muscle burns fat 24 hours a day the more you have the more you burn. For fat loss I would do 3 weight training days with 3 cardio sessions a week and day to rest, thats my current cutting split

I think the program you describe is excellent. Nice weight training split, and varying your cardio between HIIT(your interval portion) and standard is ideal.
