I am talking for myself and anyone who can not afford gyms or home gym products, What would be a good work out program for us? I am just starting out at age 38 weigh 250 lb smoke drink and hate working out but I want to do it and get rid of my lazy life but has a low income. I have started walking and sit ups and push ups is this enough or should I do more or different program help I am in need of helping myself and those who want to learn from me how to do it.

The walking at least 20 minutes at a brisk pace combined with sit ups, push ups, jumping jacks, chin ups, squat thrusts. Will lead to a healthier life. I know I am shure you have heard this one before but what your smoking habit might cost you, could very well pay your gyms dues. Once you get motivated it will be easier and you will enjoy your excerize time. Good Luck- Mike

you're on the right track....you can split your walking throughout the day...so walk 10 minutes maybe 6 times....during the day...and you got 1 hour of walking.....

quit smoking and drinking.....

sit ups and push ups are a good start also...do maybe as many as you can do....rest couple minutes and repeat for 3-4 times of each exercise....

and mmmaibohm made a good point...my friend also said he was too broke to afford gym...then one day it hit him that the 1000 that he spent on smokes, he could could spend on a gym...

and you drink also which probably comes out to a lot also....beer, liquor...etc....especially if you go to bars....

gotta suck it up and give up those habits....

WOW that was some fast response. I like the response so far and yes the cigs must go I will do it but as always it will be hard. Thanks so far for the responses and what you said about how I spend is true never looked at that way but when being fat and lazy there is not much room to thinking that way. I will make this my challenge.

85p a litre = $1.60 per LITRE

It's a good job Scotland is so small compared to the US or we'd run out of money just crossing the country

Well, if they could understand the ways of the road - then I would buy them one too(or one for each) but my boys are austic & thinking about other people isn't something they have shown that they could do

oldest(9) is non-verbal (just hmmmms some & fusses when something is wrong)
youngest(7) can now make the "m" "pl" <-this is apple "t" "b" "ooo" "aaa"(short a) howls like a werewolf(thanks Harry Potter) -- he started that back in Janurary - I also got him blowing kisses & waving bye - then pl is the only one that means anything so far

you know my best friend works with autistic kids in Orlando and Titusville, Fla They have in home therapy, and respit (sp?) (which is basicly babysitting, but for specias needs kids)
She really falls in love with them too, she says there's something extra special about them.
After summer A and B are over she'll graduate with her B/A in child psy.

You must a strong woman Reddy.

I just want to pitch in here: I recently quit smoking cigarettes- once I realized I had smoked for half of my life...I knew it was time to quit. (I haven't smoked a cigarette in 4 weeks, believe me I know how difficult it is. But once your serious about living healthy - You Can and Will do it)

I found this place while trying to find a diet, to take off the "quitter's weight". I also can't afford a gym...but the fitness plans here are excellent and there is a Home plan that works well for me, could be perfect for you also.

If your serious about changing your life - all the tools are here. You just need to be serious

:)

I wish you well - and Good Luck!!!

That is cool - with Austism on the rise - she will get a job fast -- when I was told my oldest had it the odds were 1 in 10,000 - now they claim anywhere from 1 in 100 to 1 in 250 depending on where you live

as far as being strong - I just take it one day at a time & keep praying for a cure
