I am very short, 5 feet, and 117 lb. I am big boned, and able to build muscle very easy. My goal weight is 108. Here is my new workout that I started about a month ago, with 3 lb weight loss since.
2 times a week Weight training, one set of heavy weight, then drop set
3 times a week Cardio 80 min, 20 min of 4 different machines, or I do more on running than any others.
2 times a week Circuit training, 10 min cardio, totaling 30~40 min with front/back/side lunges, jumps etc in between
I have problem eating. I tried eating 4 ~ 5 times a day, but I ended up eating more calories than just eating 3 times a day. My energy level doesn't drop, so I rather stay with eating 3 times a day. (If I don't eat, I'm fine, but once I taste something, I want to eat more....)
Question is how low can I reduce the calories to for my height? Is my workout ok? This is the last 10 lb that I'm trying to lose. I would like to lose little more faster pace than 3 lb a month.
Thanks

Every person needs a certain amount of calories just to be alive... that is known as your Basal Metablolic Rate... that is what you need just to sleep and breathe and all your basic things before you are active... there BMR Calculators all over the internet...
As for the meals, make them smaller meals... don't eat six large meals, eat six smaller meals...
Hope that helps! And welcome to FT.

Never go lower than 12 calories per pound of body weight for fat loss. But be careful, without proper nutrition, you may lose muscle.
15 cal per pound is known to maintain. Experts suggest to start with 13/14 for 2 weeks and measure the results. If need be than go to 12, but again, you need calories for your training sessions.

Thanks. 1400 (12) is much better than 1000 I calculated with some other instructions. 1500 ~ 1600 sounds ok too. I will try 1500 and see how it goes.
