Hi. I was wondering if anyone could give me some insight. I workout at the gym 3-5 days a week for about an hour and a half. I only end up getting 20-30 minutes of cardio, i do have some free time in the afternoon or evening but not enought to go back to the gym. I know i need to do more, and was thinking of investing in a treadmil or eliptical trainer. I would like to try running one day when i lose more weight but my knees arent too good. Any pros or cons about both would be helpful in my descion. Thanks in advance.

The elliptical trainer is probably better for you as it offers lower impact. They're fairly cheap on e-bay!

The elliptical is probably the better of the two because it is SO much more difficult!!! I have been walking and doing treadmill but thought I would die the first time I used the elliptical!!! Now I am hooked! I can still only do 20 minutes, but the first time I could hardly do 5 minutes! I vote elliptical.

Thanks for your input. I'll probably go with the eliptical.

Yes I'm for the Elliptical trainer as well. You can always go for a walk or run outside but it'll be difficult to find a non impact machine like the elliptical out in the nature!! (o;

I would agree, but the elliptical. You can do different things. You can always go outside if you want to run. An elliptical can do a little more for you.
