The main reason of doing breathing squats is to boost up the metabolism. Take a weight where you'll be able to do 10 reps without stopping, now always with the barbell on your shoulders do a very strong in-and exspiration, do another repetition, another deep breathing, repetition, breathing etc until you can no longer and you need to place the barbell (make sure of having somebody around to help you since you'll probably feel quite dizzy from this!)
