Ok .. tonight I ran for 23 minutes .. I set out a route to follow. Mind you i walked maybe 1/4 of the route but I basically ran/jogged the majority of it. But now my lungs are not sore but they feel restricted. Like if I take in a full breath of air I feel like I have to cough and when i do it gives my lungs a jolt.
Mind you I do not smoke.. will not touch a cigarete (not spelt properly) But could it be that last night I had a group meeting for school and 3 of them smoke and we were in a small apartment?
Help, because I am worried about this.

How's the weather? Cold? Cloudy? Wet? Dry?
You don't have any problems with asthma, do you?
When I'm with smokers it can hurt my eyes and throat but never the day after.......

Well I ran in a light rain .. well it was raining steady but not too hard
And no asthma to my knowledge.
But I am 100% better this morning.

That's good to hear. I try to stay away from smokers as much as possible. Second hand smoke is just to risky a situation to put yourself in, especially when trying to improve cardiovascular health.

It is most likely stress induced asthma, I have it when i start running for about a week it is not serious but watch it and try to keep the smoke you are near, and if this breath problem gets worse go see your doctor.

I hope it isn't, the career I have chosen is a stressful one .. Thatis a Correctional Officer... But thanks Mutt I'll keep an eye on it and will go to doctor if it gets worse.

How is your breathing now? Any better?!!
Yes if it continues you might want to go to the doc.

Actually .. as you probably know from my other post in this part of the board .. I ran farther with a friend and I didn't get the breathing problem. I was fine .. other then sore legs and a side cramp from eating an hour before the run. So I am glad to say that it must have been the cigs. Or maybe the cat i'm not sure... Aiming for the cigs because i know I allergic to cats a bit I just don'twant to be that allergic to them ... I happen to like cats.
