Hey guys, I have a problem with the symmetry of my biceps. My left bicep doesn't seem to have the peak like my right bicep. My right looks great, but my left looks flat when I flex or am doing curls. Any suggestions?

Ironbod, concentration curls are effective for working the "peak" in the biceps. You'll have to work the right a little more (i.e. more reps, heavy weights) to get it caught up to the left.

You can check out the other bicep exercises by going to the main menu, then choose FT Exercise Resources. Then, choose Muscle Targeting, then Biceps.

Good luck and lift hard!

Also, make sure you concentrate on good form! This is critical!!!

Try working as rpacheco said, but also know that it can be genetics. Look at all the BB's in the magazines....... their biceps don't always look the same.

Thanks guys, I'm going to try doing the concentration curls and see if that helps.

Hey ironbod, I have a question for ya. Do you do a lot of Dumbell work? You might want to switch up to stictly bar work for awhile. Maybe do like 2 exercises with straight bar or ez and one dumbell exercise.

One problem many people have is that they are alway flexing one side. Try flexing only your left bicep for a while.

Also, do dumbbell curls one arm at a time. Start with your small side and do as many reps as you can to failure. When you do the other good looking arm, do it for the same number of reps as you did for the left even if the right arm doesn't hit failure.

In the end, if you can't make the left arm look as good as the right, it may be part of your genetics. Look at a picture of Schwarzenegger hitting a double biceps shot. You will notice that one arm has a much better peak than the other.

hmmm....not so sure about that last post. Peak concentration exercises are great for making your biceps peak higher. Check out abcbodybuilding.com for more information on this. Works great!
