I try... and I try... but every time I do 'Bent over dumbbells row' with both hands, I get slightly soared at my bicep instead of my back. Is that normal?

Yes, it is a rather tough exercise to get right, especially if your biceps are not very strong. The Lat is a large muscle, and at first kind of hard to hit. If you are pulling with your arms at all you will feel it in your biceps most probably. You may want to switch to bent over rows using a barbell. Hits both sides simultaneously and easier to feel till you get more adept with the "lawnmower pulls". Hope this helps...
