Hello,
I'm a long time lurker and I don't mean to impose. If I am then I apologize but I have a basic question.
You wrote about the top 3 scenarios for doing weights and cardio and their order of importance.
Now, that being said, you wrote that "for the person who is lean and wanting to save muscle mass while burning fat, then the above scenarios cannot be altered in any way!"
My question is: At what body fat percentage is someone considered lean?
Thank you.

I would say 10% or below, Just my opinion....No higher 8% is a good number.

I would say as GG says, around 10%....the point of that post you read is this, at a certain bodyfat percentage, your body will start to fight back fiercely in a self preservation mode. Your body does not care about looking good in a bathing suit, it is programmed from early times for survival. This means holding on to available fat stores at some point in response to starvation which it percieves when bf gets too low. So at this time, heavy cardio while necessary, need to be done in an intelligent manner to try to "fool" the body so to speak and spare lean tissue which it would much rather expend than fat stores. Actually, though some may not think so(and this is simply becuase they are not doing things correctly), it is relatively easy to get to 10-12% bf, but it starts getting very tricky after this point.
