Well, as a matter of fact, it was interesting. I have been perfectly clean for all of close to 30 yrs. In fact, just competed in May in a contest called the "Show Me Naturals". All who placed were in fact drug tested. :)

A friend of mine and myself decided to take a trip to the dark side, and do one cycle. I am 53, will be 54 next month. I have noticed for some time my T levels starting to drop, mass much, much harder to come by, etc. So, I decided to try one to see what it would do. If anyone reads the posts, they will surely be able to tell that the posts are far from a "pros" perspective in this field!

They were trying to find out the right approach, how to go about it. I did a 12 week cycle, and it was in fact not all I thought it would be, but I did gain for the first time in a long time. Strength did not go up apprciably at all ironically, but weight gain was about 17 lb.

If anything, this cycle taught me alot. It should in fact at least give me some experience to be able to answer some folks questions about this stuff from an experience point of view, and intelligent one so to speak.

Thats it folks, my one and only. :)

During your cycle what did your macros and cals look like? Is that 17lbs total weight or LBM increase? If I'm bulking, I can usually put on 1lb-1.5lb/week.. mostly muscle... but I'm almost pure endo...so I spend the majority of my year cutting... but with "newbie" cycle... I'm thinking your biggest let down may haven been from a lack of cals ... just a thought incase you ever run something again...if you don't plan on running anything again you might wanna check out the NHA stack from Designer Supps... while I can't compare it to the real deal... I know this stack of Activate and Rebound makes be break out something fierce and my lifts go up appreciably faster as well, but like I said...I'm pure endo

Thanks BB1fit! I was really curious how it all turned out for ya.

The cycle was simply my own doing, just to try it once and see where it got me after all this time. I researched heavily and acquired what I thought best to use for a first timer.

I then went on known steroid boards and asked questions from a "rookie" standpoint, but knew enough from my research on them to quickly weed out the folks who did not know what they were talking about. It was in fact meant to be a cycle, just like any other steroid cycle.

Basing it in test though accelerated my conclusion/research over the last few years of borderline if not full blown hypogonadism(hormone inbalance).

Bloodwork is being done.

Did you have your test. levels tested before you started your cycle, and was your stack prescribed, or was this your own personal experiment???

On the contrary, I accomplished all I set out to with this cycle. Trust me, I am quite sure I know about dieting correctly for your needs than most folks ever will. This is why I am satisfied, and will never do it again.

My focus at this point in my life is not competition anymore. I am and always have been a student of anti aging. Thus my intake for so many years of vitamins, minerals, healthy diet, etc.

Remember, our hormones do not decline due to our aging, but rather our aging is caused by our decline(change) in hormones. This has been a pet research project of mine for years, and my cycle was the precursor so to speak of this for research.

Thanks Menace. At some point in life, there comes a crossroads in anyone, male and female even someone as healthy as I have been. I have been researching TRT for quite a while, and is close to my heart.

Women have been in the forefront of this for years, simply because it happens at a very fast rate with them, whereas men it tends to be a longer process, we normally lose 1% test per yr. from age 25 at peak or so. But, it is andropause, and does get us all.

For anyone who knows anything about this, by age 50 most men have more E and less T than a woman! When this hormone inbalance starts to enter your personal life(ED for instance, usual sign), we either suffer through it or do something about it.

Most doctors these days want to prescribe individual prescriptions for each and every symptom(Viagara), rather than get to the root cause. The ones who want the root cause are ahead of the pack, and the ones I want to listen to. Many if not all of these hormone inbalances that occur are of course a result of a mans changing hormones. This may happen any time in life, but for a normal healthy male form 40's to 50 is normal.

My goal is hormone balance, that is keep test up in the high range of NORMAL, and E in the lower range. Anything else is leading to AAS abuse.

So, TRT is where I am at...one famous doctor put it like this...our hormones do not decline because of age, but rather we age because our hormones decline. I do not intend to go out "gracefully", I am going out kicking and screaming with a dumbbell in each hand!
