Im not sure how, but my back is killing and I can hardly stand up straight. I am only 14, and i dont know whats wrong. Its not the muscles it's like the actually spine I think.Could this be from sit-ups? Any information is appriciated.

when did you hurt it or is it a nagging pain?

it could be....peopel jerk when they do sit ups, sometimes posibly injurying back/neck....
Go to a doctor and get full checked out...
If nothing is damaged....or once you're healed
start doing deadlifts/siff legged deadlifts, extensions, lower back machines, all should strengthen your lower back....also switch to crunches ....they train your abs more effeciently...and less chance for injury

It was fine until I got home from hockey, then it hurt really bad...but I dont think anything from hockey hurt it

its probaboy a pinched nerve in your back causing this undue pain,I would stop all sit ups,and get your back checked out by a doctor.

Yes, doing sit ups can really hurt the back. Only do crunches.
If the pain in the back persists you'll need to see a doctor. You are only 14 years old, don't take any risks to your body!
