I just read the article on overtraining. I'm wondering about the point on intensive training not being a good thing (at least for the recovery process). Is less intensive training a better thing in the long run?
Actually, that all depends on your goals. The human body is a very efficient machine and can adapt very quickly. The article just reinforces what I have read elsewhere from other trainers in that it is not necessary to work out to failure each time.
Also, workout intensity is a matter of perspective within each individual. Everyone has their own interpretation. Mainly, I think, we all have to listen to our bodies so that proper recuperation takes place. Doing so will lessen injuries and will provide optimum results...
