Hi, I am trying to lose the last 20 of which I've lost 50 lbs already. Anyway, I had plateued for a while, and my friend gave me this cutting diet, which is way more food than I was already eating, and I have never been much of an egg person, and I can't really stomach them anymore after about a week, now he told me that they are very important. Can I eat chicken instead, or should I just find another diet??? Also this diet it like 2700 cals, and seems like too much food, however I wasn't losing anything on my old plan anyway. I'm 5'8" 200lb, medium to large bone structrue. Thanks in advance, as I'm confused and discouraged........

You can consume lean fish or chicken instead, the fat content will be a little more, but that will get you closer to your caloric intake, anyhow.
I would think 2,500 - 2,700 would be a good maintainance range for you, if you eat with his plan for a few weeks and
don't lose anyweight, rduce it by 100 calories and try that for a few weeks, then 100 again, etc.
Egg whites are good quality protein, but there isn't really any reason they are 'so important' I knew one BB who ate only white fish for protein on her cutting diet, no problem. Look up "Protein primer" in the nutrition section, it explains how different types of protein are used in your system and how to use them to your advantage.
Good luck!

I think if you looking for an item that packs a lot of protein with very little calories/fat..egg whites are great. I usually eat egg whites, cottage cheese w/ salsa or strawberry jelly in the morning..w/ some granola.
