I've been working out 3-4 times/week for almost 2 years and I still don't have a rockin body! Granted, I'm pretty solid (very dense muscle), but I don't have a great chest, my shoulders are kinda bony, and I still have a small spare tire. Argh.

I've increased my protein intake/followed the chest-building program for 3 months now, and I have seen some results. Not as much as I'd like though. My question is this: am I eating *too few* carbs? One source say I need 650g carbs and 150g protein. The one I've been following says 450g carbs, 275 g protein.

I'm a 6'/180lb, 27yo male looking to gain muscle mass. Thanks in advance.

I've heard that if you eat to much bread it can cause you to retain the "flab". I've also heard there are such things as good carbs and bad carbs though I don't know the exact explination on this. In my train of thought, less carb's = less spare tire, more protein = more muscle with workout. Maybe the diet and nutrition posts can help you?

Hi Derrickk
Well you talk about your sources but you don't say how much or what you eat.
Your body is a amazing machine and it needs to get feeded and treated well to give the results that us (our minds :)), we want!
Try to listen to your body and try different kinds of diets for a while to see what will work for you.
Good luck!
