Shit. I was so concerned about protecting my knees in basketball, and then I roll my ankle.
That's normal, but the aftermath of the roll is something I've never experienced.
In the past, I've rolled my ankle and been sidelined and can barely walk for 2 weeks.
With this one, it felt like a moderate ankle sprain, but there's been less swelling than ussual, and less discoloration. Also, it doesn't hurt to wlak on it that much. I did put ice immediately on it and did the RICE treatment suggestions (Rest Ice Compression Elevation). I'm on my third day now, and my question is, what are the following steps I can do to aid recovery? I won't play for the next 2-3 weeks, so what can I do during that time to help heal my ankle the best? Thanks for any advise.

Outside of RICE and anti-inflammatories, there isn't much you can do.

If calf raises don't hurt, it might be a good idea to do some high rep bodyweight calf raises to get blood into the area. I've never heard of an ankle sprain being treated that way, but the calves don't get a lot of blood flow so it might help.
