I just bought that total protein cereal. 5 dollars for a 11oz box :(. But you told me it was horrid. I took a bite of it and to my surprise it tasted really good! Got that sweet taste and is healthy. Thanks for telling me about this very happy! I love it.

Jeez! You freaked me out. I'm glad it worked for you. I really didn't think it tasted all that bad but then again I like plain Total. Also I was hedging my bets too. It's hard to find a good cereal that's not loaded with sugar AND has a high level of protein. If you're watching sugar intake be careful with the milk though. When I eat a bowl of cereal I end up pouring most of the milk out anyway so I don't really concern myself with that so much. Besides I'm getting hooked on oatmeal with cinnamon and blueberries or strawberries. I'm glad you liked it.

Yeah the cereal isnt loaded w/ sugar despite its sweet taste. I doubt I will have it with milk since it is 13g of protein per 3/4 cup I will probably just measure that and eat it raw w/ my bagel and juice in the morning since im usually on the go. Finally found a food that tastes good and will be suitable for a breakfast meal! Thumbs up to you my friend best product recommended so far.

Name this cereal please?

Only one I've taken with considerable protein is Kashi Go Lean and Go Lean Crunch.

Total Protein has 13 gr. protein per serving and less sugar than the Kaschi brands. Plus the Total brands are loaded with vitamins and minerals.

Oh, I got confused and thought both of you were not mentioning the name; didn't know Total Protein existed. It's on my list now :D Thanks

I love GoLean Crunch, too. But the regular GoLean tastes like a bowl full of sticks! javascript:insertSmiley(this.form.message, ':(')

How come my smileys didn't work?

I was going to add another breakfast cereal that I like, anyway - oat bran, the ultimate comfort food. Except I never eat it for breakfast, I usually eat it in the evening when I'm stressed.

I recently discovered Smart Start soy protein cereal. Tastes pretty good and has a fair amount of protein. Go Lean tastes like cardboard...

I'll check that out too. I've been eating Alpen cereal mixed w/ as much oatmeal, then adding optimum 100% whey vanilla-ice-cream, some soy protein, a dash of flaxseed oil & flaked brewers yeast. My wife just turns away.

Your right about that Jessica, the regular GoLean kinda looks like a bowl full of sticks too.

I looked for the Total Protein yesterday at Publix with no luck, where have other people found it?

Absolutely AWESOME!! This cereal is about $3.79 at the local WalMart.

Did you look at the ingredients and vitamins? They use Whey Protein Isolate and all kinds of good vitamins and minerals, including 100% of C and E. I'm very impressed; taste is good and protein to calorie ration ROCKS!
