Hiya fellow BB'ers,

I have been training now for exactly 1 month and 2 weeks and I have had some very nice gains. I started by using only creatine and proteine shakes and a good solid 6 meals a day:):) I started at 62kg and now I weigh a nice 69kg, so thats 7kg gained in a little more then a month:):) Now the burning question, can I expect another nice gain over the next 2 months or is this really an initial rush?? My friend tells me that from now it will be really hard to gain kilo's but this sounds very depressing:(

Any comments are appreciated,

Kindest regards,

Enkidu

That just depends I guess. I would have to generally say that it will be a little harder to gain the same amount of weight as you progress. A lot has to do with genetics and the other half has to do with how hard you train and how well you eat. I would have to say, it will be more difficult but it can be done with hard work and dedication.

Enkidu - you're first year can be your most productive. I've seen people starting out make phenomenal gains for 7 to 10 months before hitting a plateau. You can keep it going if you vary your routine and diet a lot and don't let your body get used to what you're doing. It's a fine line though between awesome muscle gain/fat gain.

Yes the diet is the answer to this. You have to recalculate your total calorie needs etc and you'll keep getting results.

Don't get discouraged if you fon't get as great of gains the next time around though. People do get in slumps where it doesn't seem to be going anywhere, but switch up your routine and I'm sure you'll be fine.

What do you mean by changing my routine???? Other excercises and such, or completely different eating habits?
To me offcourse it sounds more logical that it can only get harder to gain these kind of weights again but hey I am happy now, I feel like a different person allready. My figure is wider and my arms really put on some weight, its funny actually, it seems like some of my bodyparts grow 3x faster then other parts that I have trained, the diameter of my biceps went up a full 8cm which is insanely much for me:) Chest only got 3-4cm larger:(:( But its chest that I want to develop more and I will have a hard time doing that.
Well I will keep at it, no pain no gain eh.

Enkidu,

You're very lucky to be able to get these gains so quickly - Keep up the good work!

I train as hard as I can, and eat like a horse, but still can't seem to gain any weight. Some people are just more genetically inclined to getting results from working out I guess. Lets hope you can carry it on for a while more yet. Best of luck :)

Rob.

Speaking of gaining good TiredRob, I can now add another kilo to my total:):) I weighed myself this morning and I have now reached 70Kg:)
This really makes me a happy person.
