I once read an article explaining how you should train abs based on your goals; unfortunately I currently can't find this article. When should you use heavy weights/low reps and low weights/high reps??

Just treat abs just as another muscle in the body..therefore, train low reps and heavy weight to gain strength in your abdominal region and lower weight and higher repititions for endurance.

Actually Abs and Calves are the only 2 that are done in high reps, 15 to 25.

I do abs 2 times per week!

Well, don't know that that makes sense. A goal of abs is to have them?? what other goal would there be with them?

What you may be referring to is upping the intensity pre contest. But other than that.....

Simply work them like you would any other muscle. Diet will in the end be the underlying factor as to how they show.
