A question about muchine crunches..

Is a machine crunch same as a regular ol' crunch on the floor without the weights added?

A machine crunch will give you the perfect movement. Depending on the machine, some have a post at the head to add weight.
I prefer a machine or bench rather than the floor, but that's just me.

Mix them up, do machine crunches, regular crunches, upper pulley crunches, etc. all with weight.

I prefer cables, and ball crunches myself, not much for the "machines" only cause, for one they only have one "joint" that moves.......if you notice your back doesn't bend in one place, it forms and "arc" most machines can't simulate this, which is why I prefere balls, and or pullys, it allows me to move in a natural way, and not the way the machine wants me too. And makes it to easy to cheat in a machine.

However most machiens are made with the "average " individual, i'm nto average lol, so thats why most machines I stir clear of, not that i'm denoucing them, just my preferance.
