I am the only personal trainer here at my facility and I've mostly been dealing with women. I got an appointment with a man that's 6'4! I'm a 5ft tall! I'm a little intimidated by this! There really is no way I could spot him in any heavy lifting. His goals are not mass but fat loss. I know however, I won't be able to get around lifting heavier than I can handle. What do you guys think?

Lucy, you should be able to assist him unless he's lifting way more than he should. Remember he'll be pushing too.

I agree with charlie, except when it involves dumbell presses of any kind. My arm will suddenly give out in dumbell presses for some reason, so I always have another guy my size or larger spot me with them. goodluck lucyfly.
Just use your female qualities to lure the other lifters into spotting your client for you. :)

Thanks charlie and gangster. Personal trainers are limited here and usually we end up just training the spouses (I'm on a military base) But there are civilians that need extra attention too.
teflon. here we charge 35$ and hour. Its usually a lot more expensive elsewhere. We charge less here just because of the community. We want to help out and get more experience I've only been training for 8 months now. I've got a lot to learn and I just recently started to get paid. I had a few guniea pigs in the beginning.
Usually you can pay anywhere from 50-150 dollars depending on the trainer and your goals.

It still amazes me that people pay that much to be motivated. If someone will pay it though, more power to the PT's out there. good luck with your business lucyfly.
