The only thing I have noticed is that I kind of have pecs now and my bicep has toned up a bit since I began working out.... How come the physical changes aren't being refleccted in the scale?

I get enough sleep, I lift between 60-80%, I rest around 30-45 seconds, I get a lot of water throughout the day, I make sure I at least get enough protein, being a hardgainer I don't strictly obsess over the correct ratio to fat, so I drink whole milk and peanut butter etc probably get more fat than the freetrainers plan says for me to, but everything I eat has more or equal protein to fat and plenty of carbs, I haven't been taking a post workout shake, and I don't have any aerobic exercise outside of weight room. I use machines so I can't have improper form.

I read that you can only gain like 1.5-2 lbs of lean muscle every month, and it's only been a month, maybe my problem is impatience?

up your calories to 3000. check your weight and body fat now, and check them in another week after the increase.

Best way to figure out things about your body is to experiment with it. Trial and error. If something isn't working for you, change it. If it is working, stick with it until you hit a plateau and then change it up again.

And I mean if you think about it before I began weight training I sure as heck know I never took in more than about 2700 calories so as for my weight gain prior to that I think that the Freetrainers estimate must be pretty close on...

increase your rest period anywhere up to 3 minutes.. start taking a postworkout shake (immediately after a workout is the optimal time for a liquid protein meal, and will begin working on building muscle right away).. start using compound exercises and freeweights (ie squats, deadlifts, bench press). your diet is probably a big factor too.. you can work out all day but if you arent feeding your body the nutrients it needs, its not going to grow. 2700 calories is less than i consume when im cutting down.. so i suggest beefing up your food intake.

You know what, I took in my normal amount of calories last night, but I ate a lot of food before I went to bed last night so I went to bed full, and I gained some weight... O_o....... This is not making sense at all...

if you ate alot of carbs before you went to bed, they were probably stored as fat.
