How much do you weigh and how many percent body fat are you? You might already have a sixpack (covered up by fat).

eating a very healthy, lowfat diet. stick to complex carbs (brown rice, yams, etc.).. lean cuts of meat (tuna, chicken, turkey, beef, etc.) and healthy fats (olive oil, peanut butter, almonds, etc.). lots of veggies as well.

You need to do a lot of cardio to get rid of that flab.

Not only that, but you may also want to try crunches, situps, leg raises, and trunk twists. There are also machines that you can work out your abs with too.. but remember you cant get your six pack over night either.

how about working some of the other major muscle groups other than abs (gasp) in order to build more muscle and raise your metabilism. Specialization only works for so long. Also, remember, doing 1000 crunches will not build your abdominals, although doing 30 with weight might.

Cardio is cardiorespiratory strength.. it refers to exercsises (or sports) that temporarily increase the heart rate. Some examples of cardio are running, treadmills, swimming, basketball, soccer, cycling, etc... Hope this helps!

A lot of it has to do with your diet. In fact I bet the diet is more important than anything else in your workout routine to get your "six pack". Don't get me wrong. Cardio and crunches will help wonders while your on your way to your six pack. You need to get on a diet high in protein and a bit low on the carbs to lose the flab. Try not to eat carbs towards the end of the day. Protein is your friend at night and throughout the day. Fill out your profile and your goals in the nutritional plans. There's a link to it here at the top of this page. It will show you what your dietary maconutrients should be in order to accomplish your goal. Goodluck!

danielle fill out your profile and start one of the work out programs offered here, they have a great Weight Loss/Tone program and diet is an active part of weight loss as well.

I also prefer to go by losing fat and inches rather then weight seeing that muscle weighs more. :)
