Where the hell can I buy a chin up bar? Places like Wal-Mart seem to have everything but this. I've seen those short little bars you mount in a doorway, but that ain't gonna do it. I need one of those wide free-hanging bars that bend down on the ends - what are they called? I work out in my garage with a pretty basic free-weight bench (no lat pull-down thing of course) I plan on just hanging the bar from a couple of studs in the ceiling, if that'll work. Speaking of which, are wide grip chins basically the same thing as lat pull-downs at as gym? I want my V-shape dammit!

Where do you live? Most areas have a large sports store like here in the east we have Dick's. Anything like that will have them

For chin ups, I usually go down to the closest park or High School. Lat pulls work the muscles similarly.

I live in Austin, Texas. I don't think I've ever seen a "sports store." OK, my brain just woke up - Academy! Duh Bretto...duh. Thanks for y'all's help.
