I would say hanging leg raises are great.. slowly raise your legs up and try to hold them for just a second on the top then slowly lower it back down.. I usually can't tap out too many of these but they seem great for hitting my lower abs... you can also do lots of different things to try and hit your lower abs such as leg tucks.. leg pullovers (lay down like a leg raise but pull your legs up to your chest).. these are way easier but still their something different.. you could also do cable crunches from side to side.. and another one I like to throw in sometimes was from an article by some pro bb.. yates or something.. you lay down on an incline but in reverse.. so your head is near where your feet would be.. you start out with your feet bent at the knees and your calves parallel to the ground.. then from there you slowly crunch up... seems to work the lower abs pretty good... look around.. there are lots of ab exercises out there for you to 'attack' that lower region.. but overall i'd say hanging leg raises are best.. even though my lower section is freakin impossible.. here I am 4 months down the line working them like crazy and they still aren't developing...
