I can see my upper abs and I almost have a six pack, except I have some fat around my lower abs(a little) covering that last little bit of abs. My body fat is about 6-7% Is there any way I could speed up fat loss in a certain area coupled with cardio. I don't mean spot reducing by doin excercises but if I did situps ALONG with cardio would it speed up fat loss in that area? I already do situps but thats just for eg.

Situps only work the hip flexors...not the lower abs. Try doing reverse crunches on an inclined bench. You won't be able to speed up fat loss in any specific area. You'll just have to continue with your cardio and maybe even increase your intensity a little. It's great you've gotten down to 6-7%...that's tough to do!

Hey bro, If your having trouble with the lower abs, than you should try the ab blasting program in here. I had the same problem, and I do mean HAD. I have been doin the program about 4 weeks now and my lower stomach is alot tighter, ofcourse you must follow a good diet to bring out that six pack, but so far for me its all been worth it. good luck bro!

Hey 6-7% is amazing --- I agree with focusing on lower abs
a bit more though - As a woman I had a B*tch of a job getting
my lower abs to show -- I found hanging leg raises, reverse
crunches and reverse incline crunches to really help. It's
hard to get those lower ones to show though.... good luck and
try blasting them...

Okay, reverse incline crunches, and reverse crunches are not listed in the ft ab workout. Can someone please define? I can't bend over and touch my elbow to my butt so how exactly is a reverse crunch executed?
Krismike,
Sign up for the ft 12 week ab program. You'll have a six pack..

Reverse incline crunches: While lying on an incline bench (your head is on the inclined side while you grab on the edge of the bench or something to keep you from sliding down), raise your knees to your head (make sure you don't knee yourself in the face, LOL). Anyway, doing these along with normal and twisting crunches hit all of the ab muscles.

I see. So that's what reverse crunches are also. Thanks.

Getting rid of that last layer of fat on your lower abs is the hardest thing to do. When I was at 6% I still had a slight pooch on my lower abs. Someone told me that it was probably genetics or even maybe just water under my skin. Perhaps, you can try some type of diuretic.....Do a search on this board. I remember seeing a few posts about getting rid of the water under your skin...

Is it possible to really get a six pack after having three kids and having been left with that ucky "pooch?" I've heard that it's impossible genetically?

Can someone give me some ab exercises I can do. I have been trying to get my six pack showing and there is no sign of it. My body fat is around the 10% and have been doing cardio, but again the fat aroudn the waistline does not seem to budge.

well, hello to u all people, to the best of my knowledge there is nothing in this world whch can help to to get spot reduction. Therfore a mix of cardio and gym-work-out is th eonly way. I would aprichiate if any one can upload the abs program.

I want to hear about jsizzle's ab kicker. Lover me some sit-ups on the incline bench, but doing 4 sets of 50 per day have my tail bone crying these days.
