Is there a trick to working the chest,I dont seem to get a good workout on chest. I find my arms give out and I still dont find my chest getting tired. Am I doing something wrong. I do flat, incline, flyes, cable crossovers, decline, I use barbell and dumbells, I guess my technique is wrong. Any suggestions? thanks sean......

Maybe your form needs work.. When you do flat presses/flyes do you feel a stretch in your chest at the bottom of the movement.. exrx.net has nice animated pictures of each exercise which could help you..

don't forget to read the description rather than try and learn it from just watching the animated pic...

Maybe you should strengthen your arms...... Your triceps (and biceps) are small muscle groups and if they are not strong enough, they will hurt before your chest, which is a lot bigger muscle and therefore needs more stimulation to get tired.
Also don't work your arms or shoulders just before your chest.

I went through that. Use the pre-fatigue method to work your chest. Start out doing dumbbell flyes (this eliminates the use of your triceps). Then, do some presses and really work your chest. Afterwards, when you feel your arms giving out, do more flyes to complete failure. By now, your chest and pecs should be on fire. Try this out...worked for me!
