If you read at the top of each workout plan it says to choose a weight where you can perform nore more than one rep past the amount of reps they give you. This sentence "As a rule of thumb, if the repetitions assigned are 8, then you should select a weight where you are only able to perform no more than 9 repetitions." If you picked the tone up program then your reps should be something high for more exercises like in the 12 to 20 range so as long as you pick a weight you can handle for that many reps you should be getting closer to your goals.. It can't figure out what weight you should use because its too hard to know what kind of shape people are in when they start their programs... or at least thats what I think...

Correct...choose weights that you will be able to perform using ft's recommended number of reps.

Good luck...

Don't be afraid to sweat a little. If it's not a little bit hard to do, then you'll never be able to shape those darn muscles!!

Good luck!
