i am so confused about protein shakes what you have to put in them how many to drink when to drink them,also they say to eat 5 times a day what do you usually eat for those 5 meals someone please explain.

Sorting through all the information on nutrition can be overwhelming at first ... don't worry, it gets easier! :)

If you're eating 5 times a day, you could substitute protein shakes for 2 meals (these are MRP or Meal Replacement powders) ... you could also use the bars (Met-Rx, BioX etc which are similar). Bars can taste pretty dodgy, so be forewarned!

Hmmmm ... the biggest difference between MRP and "protein shakes" is their macronutrient composition. MRP have more calories and carbs than whey proteins. Whey usually has 21+ grams of protein with a few grams of carbs and fat. There's a couple of really good posts on whey protein. Do a search to get more information ...

For your other three meals, check out the "Healthy fit foods" link on the Freetrainers homepage. Using the foods found there, and the guidelines given by your ft nutrition programme, you'll have no problem putting together some great, healthy meals!
