Here is my problem...

I workout in the morning (around 9:30 or 10:00) and I think I eat pretty healthy, although we all have our lapses. My problem is when the evening comes around I feel like a bum because I am just sitting around doing nothing. I feel like I should be excersicing all the time, like 3 times a day or something. I feel like if I am just sitting there relaxing than I am gaining weight so I should at least get up and do some jumping jacks or something, I hope this post was easy to understand. Any thoughts would really help me out and if you have any questions I would be happy to answer.

It is ok and neccessary for you to rest. You do not always have to be doing something but don't sit there, watch t.v. and eat a whole bag of chips. I usually do my cardio in the morning and my weight training in the afternoon. If you really feel that guilty, you could try and go for an evening walk after dinner. It may make you feel less guilty.

This is good advice, we all need to get enough rest to allow our bodies to recover from training. When you train do you maintain a high level of intensity throughout your workout? For me after working out I need some time to recuperate. Just think how it would be sitting around all the time if you injure yourself from overtraining and are unable to train. That would be a drag. Only you know what is best to you so just pay attention to what your body is telling you. I hope this helps.

I weight train in the mornings and do (slow!) cardio in the nights. This works for me.

But don't forget one thing; when you weight train, you tear apart muscle fibres and these need time to recuperate and to build themselves bigger and stronger.
The best thing you can do for your body late at night, is to make sure of your muscles having enough proteins to be able to work while YOU sleep.

Good luck.

Are you involved in any sports? On my non-training days and on weekends, I usually play tennis. Helps me relieve some stress at the same time.

Good luck...
