Creatine progress – week two:

I’m off the loading phase, and into once a day intake, just after my workout.

I leveled out at 180 pounds this week, but since my body weight tends to fluctuate a few pounds each way, this doesn’t mean much to me. A reminder that when I started the Freetrainer program 10 weeks ago (w/o Creatine), I was 165# at 6’1. By the way -- I still fit into 32 waist jeans.

My wife has noticed a difference in my size. I couldn't really see it, but she noticed that my arms and chest seemed fuller. I tried on t-shirts I wore last summer (I live in ice-filled upstate NY, and haven't seen a t-shirt in weeks) and I can actually see a difference.

The only marked improvement this past week that I noticed as far as lifting goes is in my barbell curls. I can easily curl 70 pounds with a straight bar. I whacked my funny bone pretty hard at work, so my triceps workout hurt a little. I dropped the poundage, and went for reps with a rope handle. I was able to press 60 pounds without too much pain (OW!).

I guess I should take back all I said negatively about creatine. It seems to be the ticket to finally adding some bulk to my frame.

Wow! That's great! It does feel pretty good to finally fill into a t-shirt, doesn't it? 10 weeks and you added 15 pounds of muscle mass...that's AWESOME!

The creatine doesn't really give you more muscle mass, but it gives you extra energy and helps you to recuperate a lot faster.

But don't only thanks the creatine also you can be proud of yourself and your work!

Goooood joob!!! (o:

Actually, creatine also draws water from your blood stream and pulls them into your muscles...thus, the "volumizing" effect. Since it gives you a little boost in your workouts, I would have to say it aids in giving you more mass.

Of course, like Michael always says, if you train like a lunatic and eat like a moose, that'll yield you what you're looking for!

Just so you don’t get the wrong impression – I’ve been working out (at home) for almost 10 years. Because of my career and the hours I put in, a home set-up was my only option if I ever wanted to work out or see my family. My problem, I think, was that I was never trained properly. I learned what I knew from trial and error. I never had a routine that I could follow. Sure, I tried the programs you see in fitness magazines, but there was never a follow up. The Freetrainers program keeps me motivated because it’s interactive. I log on, get my workout, print it out, and go. I have something to work with. I think that has made the biggest difference.

15 pounds of muscle mass? Well, I guess I have to say yeah – it’s been pretty amazing. In addition to the FT program, I started working out first thing in the morning. I get up at 5:30, so by 6:15 or so I’m ready to go, and by 7:30, I’m out the door with my workout behind me. I save my aerobic and ab work for nighttime. I used to do my whole workout at night, after dinner, and I seldom had the proper amount of energy. I rarely did abs, and never gave the aerobic part a fair shake. Truthfully, I’ve worked out for years, but I never worked out right until I started the Freetrainers program.

Does the Creatine work? I believe it does. I’ve noticed a fullness that I never noticed before, and most importantly – I’m not as sore the next day after a good workout.

Thanks for everything and all the advice and atta-boys.

Rick, we have much in common! When I was in my HS years, I first started weight training. However, I never did it right because I didn't know how to work out to maximize results. I was always skinny and was really more into endurance sports than anything else.

I started working out again last year and since I've been on the FT mass program, I've seen more results that I ever did for the many years I've worked out when I was in HS! So there you go.

These boards have helped me gain insight on how to always achieve better results. There's so much knowledge and depth that I continually learn something everyday. And as I learn things, I often give advice as well...as a way to give something back to this "community" where I've gained so much.

Continued success to you and please keep us updated! Success stories like yours are always inspirational to those of us who share similar goals...
