Do you think that tattoos could decrease your chances of getting a higher score in bodybuilding competitions? If you did get a tattoo what would be the most unrecognizable spot?

I think they are distracting. Each Judge will have a different opinion on it. Why risk it? Wait till your competiton days are over...or get on on your behind( that should be well hidden from the Judges (-)

Hey MuscleRage,
the answer is no if you can cover them well. Mr.Olympia Dorian Yates has a huge tattoo all over his forearm, other top Pros such as Chris Cormier, Flex Wheeler as well as Lee Priest all have tottoos. So don't worry about it unless you have your entire back covered :)

Are you going to be a bodybuilder your whole life? You should consider that. What happens if you get a tat on your big muscular arm, then, maybe 10 years from now, you no longer body build for competition? Your arm will shrink, and your tat will be a mushed. Or, you could have not reached your potential yet. You get a tat on you, then as your muscles grow, it gets all stretched out, or even worse, gets stretch marks running through it! Just something to consider. I personally have 6 tattoos, but I won't be competing anytime soon ;).

My husband got a niiice tattoo on his right arm around 2 years ago. He has since gained almost 5 cm (2 inches I guess it is) but he's tattoo is still intact. No probs.
