Ha! Well, I did okay last week. I gained 2 pounds, but it was my monthly time, and I usually gain weight, but, by the end of the week, I had lost 1 of them again. I probably lost the other one too, but I didn't go to the gym this week to find out. Monday, we get up early and go to my granny's house all day for Christmas, then Tuesday, we get up early to go to my parents house, then my MIL's house, then back to my parents house. Wednesday we recuperated, and Thursday we cleaned house, then went out to a show. Now it's Friday, and my husband has to go back to work tonight, so I'm trying to clean house, pay bills and go grocery shopping! Ick!. I probably gained a little weight over the holidays, but I'm not too concerned about it. One bad week is nothing compared to a lifetime of good habits, right? Come Monday morning, I'll be back at the gym, and my husband says he'll start going after the first of the year. I think that will be a big help, having someone to go with. SO, I have a house full of candy and chocolate and cookies and such, but I'm sending a bunch to work with my dh, so I won't eat them. On the good side, Monday morning when I was getting ready to go to my granny's house, I didn't have any clean jeans, so I pulled out a pair of jeans from the back of the closet that were a sz 14 (I wear 16), and was able to squeeze into them. That was encouraging. Of course, today, I tried to put on my 16s, and could barely get them zipped :(. But, a couple weeks of hard work will get me going again, and make me much less cranky in the meantime!

Sounds like you are headed in the right direction. Most of us slide through the holidays and those couple pounds slide off come Jan 2!! We decided (as a family) to forgo the cookies etc. this year. (Brother in law is diabetic and me hypoglycemic) That was nice. When my sister left (here a week) she commented how much better they felt without all the holiday junk.
