On the side of my protein mix container there is a list of chained amino acids. Is this amount of amino acids enough, or should I have further sumpplemention ?

The amino profile will make sure the protein is complete. You most likely don't need extra amino's with your shake, but with your whole food meals. Amino's are the building blocks. One analogy is to think of them as letters. If you have 5 c's, 5 a's, and one t, how many times can you spell cat? Your body will dicard or use as fuel instead of muscle building the the other 4 c and a's, because they are incomplete. Your protein drink is probably complete, is why they give you the amino profile. On the other hand, most food is not, and to insure proper usage of all the protein, amino's ahine here. Hope this helps...

Exactly...most protein drinks are formulated with the correct amino acid profile(at least the reputable ones)that you can trust their labels. It is our whole food sources that are deficient. That is where a good mass amino supplement, usually about 4 with each meal will suffice, really shine. They help to insure proper utilization of food. You can get quality aminos for fairly cheap too, a good insurance policy against losing hard earned muscle and for gaining muscle.
