Hello!
Well a little summary. My husband and i will be married for 6 months (I know how silly) and I really want to surprise him. The problem is I can't work (I live in belgium and still waiting for my paper work to be done) so I can't save money. Thus, he supports me and we are trying so hard to save. I alwyas do things like cooking a special meal for him, but I want to do something different for him not only for the 6 months, but because he really deserves it for all he does. Any idea that don't cost too much?

What about putting on hundreds of small candles, nice and cozy jazz music, roses everywhere, a couple of bottles of good red wine and some strawberries and honey. Surprise him by putting a bandana around his eyes and then give him a niiiiiice long massage.

Or what about dancing?........ Make your own home disco and dance all night long and then when the sun is down go out for a long walk under the stars and the moon.

Other ideas?

Do you think it is silly if I throw him a surprise party and have all his friends come and they bring their drinks (when ever we all get together we always have to bring our own drinks)? I can make the food (I love to cook anyways). Or something of that sort? Okay maye I'm a geek, but is it a good idea?

I'm not much for birthdays, but having people over to help celebrate is not a bad idea! However, afterwards, you should look forward to having a "private celebration" with that bottle of wine, candles and oh yes, the food (strawberries and lots of whip cream)!!!

Just be aware that alot of peoples (Ahem) "sensitive areas" have allergic reactions to whip cream so don't go too crazy. Personally for me I see my friends all the time, so I'd rather have a romantic evening with my partner. But you know your husband better. Is he the type that loves to be around his friends on special occasions?

Of course I'll let you know how it goes. You have given me a lot of good tips to go on! Thanks! We don't really gte to go out a lot or to see his friends, it is usually the two of us. So I think I'll have his friends over for fun and then like suggested have a "private celebration" with just us two. Thank you so much!!
