Just a "wonder if" - I havent taken anything so this is a first. (Other than vitamens...well, so I forget those every now and then - hate them big ol pills) BUT, if you take a whey protein drink (Im starting at one...after my workout) can it bind you up? Should I increase water or something?

What do you mean by 'bind you up'? Do you mean cramp? bloat? muscle bound?

There will only be BENEFITS from taking a whey supplement following your workout.. be sure to add some simple and complex carbohydrates as well post workout.

Which brand are you taking?

Good Luck

Some whey protein drinks come with a "transport system" complete with carbs, fat, sugar, vitamins and even glutamine.

Absolutely!!! Of course, I drank the stuff 3-4 times per day...so it probably affects one more when it is consumed more often.

Lol, protein drinks do nothing (but risking to make you fart!!)
It can make you more thirsty (but that's not a bad thing since most peeps don't drink enough).
Also to make sure of having beautiful working intestins, eat fibres!!!

Cheers.

Funny you said peep....that is a favorite word my daughter uses! We just started taking the whey protein drink - Im only doing one after my workout...so should I do more? I just don't want any weight gain, Im happy where Im at weight wise, still working on my goals and definite definition (getting there in my arms finally!!) BUT, should I be drinking more of it? Also, I havent ck here but something Im looking for (OK you experts) is something that I put in my current weight, height, whatever facts it needs and have it or someone design a nutrition program that I should follow to help with results with my working out. I know I don't do my nutrition end right at all. I do watch things I pick up, calorie wise but can do better!

Protien will not constipate you. Will make you have gas as others said, I take one after work out, And breakfast morning after. I've read that if you are allergic it will really make you fart (constantly)! Have fun.
