I was wondering what people take (brand-wise) as far as a good multivitamin. Recommendations are welcomed...thanks!

I really like Universal's Animal Pak. I used it when I competed, and I still make it the basis of my supplement regimen. In my opinion, it's the best all-around hardcore vitamin/mineral on the market. It's been around for 20 years, and I've used it for about 15. Go to www.universalnutrition.com and take a look at the label.

Good luck........Michael

I'm into the natural ones you buy in all those health stores. No chemical vitamines for me, since my body doesn't seem to like them.
They are more expensive, but my advice to you is to try the chemical ones next to the natural ones and feel the difference. Your choice.

Frankly, I've done some looking into the animal paks. 22 tablets? Boy, that's a lot to swallow in one sitting...

However, Leslie, you're the second person to mention the animal pak. Wish they were more affordable though.

Thanks.

no, its only 11 per pak. they suggest 2 paks per day if your training hard. otherwise, one a day is great. where are you buying them at and for how much?

I looked at their website and they charge $39.95 for 44 paks. I assume that'll last 44 days. Where do you recommend they should be purchased, Michael?

That's right, you're the supplement company owner. Great! I live in Northern California (San Francisco Bay Area). Thanks, Michael!

Many think the packs are too expense. Go to the store and buy all the vita/ minerals/EFA's?chromium etc that these packs have and your wallet will be empty much sooner!!!!!!!!

i agree. even at full retail (MSRP), the women's pak is $27/30 paks and the Animal is $40/44 paks. At the cheapest, vitamins/minerals can go for $3 each, which can add up to well over $75 even before you get to the other supplements like chromium or EFAs.

Just a thought to ponder.............Michael

Michael, just to let you know that I got some Animal Paks. Thanks for the recommendation. Although the price is a little steep, I'm giving it a try. I guess a cheaper alternative would be GNC's Mega Man? Any "cheaper" recommendations? Thanks.

Nothing cheaper for what you're getting.

Start with just one pak a day for awhile, say a week or 2.

On training days, I do one pak with my first meal, and then one with my pre-workout meal. On my days off, I take just one in the morning. Of course, when I'm on my rest cycle (1-2 weeks off), I don't take any supplements.

Hope it works out. Let me know...........Michael

I take GNC's Mega-Man multivitamin. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a quality multivitamin. The only thing is the pills are a little big and might cause you to gag.

Try Hannaford's One Daily...it is specially formulated with calcium, iron, and zinc too.
