Do you train your forearms seperately? I mean the calfs yes I do them, but I have never done the forearms.

Honestly I have never thought I needed it.

Have you seen some changes when training the forearms?

Merci! -Nina

Nina you will find that if you begin to train your forearms, other compound exercises will become a little easier. This is because you are strengthening your grip. I have found that adding a forearm workout helps in all areas or lifting. I would personally recommend it!!!! good luck

It's not that I'm afraid of getting my farearms bigger, but I just never thought about it.
I do take very heavy with the other exercises, but no sore forearms or probs with the grip.

What do you competiting peeps think about it?
Individual exercises for forearms are necessairy?

Yes. I always throw in one forearm exercise. I like to do the cross body hammer curls. I use 15-25 lb dumbells. If you check out my pics you will see I don't have big forearms! I do wrist curls, this is quite lite (5-8) cuz I have the tiniest wrists. I could lift more weight if they were more substantial so I do the curls for injury prevention.

Yes you should do at least one forearm exercise. I like the cross body hammer curls. I will use up to 25 lb weight. Do some wrist curls too.

Maybe is because of I have been fencing (and playing guitar! lol) for so many years that I already have strong forearms. As I said Itroisi, I'm not (and have never been) afraid of getting big muscles (it's all a technical question and not about weight) so I'll give it a try.
Okey, from now on I'll attack my forearms!!
Lets see what will happen...
