I took about a week and a half off (I know I know... I was on vacation LOL) and my first day back I did a lot of bicep curls, light weight but lots of reps. Woke up the next day with very tender elbows. :( I really didn't think a week off would make much difference, but now I'm wondering if I should have started out more slowly. It's not a sharp pain, more like a bruised feeling in the joint and in the muscles (tendons?) leading up to the joint. Any advice for starting back after a break? I haven't done a leg day yet and now I'm worried about my knees. Also should I lay off my elbows until they're back to normal? I don't have any pain while I'm working out. TIA - :)

Yes taking even a week and a half off you need to ease in at first. I would rest the elbows a day or two before putting some strain on them again. Just maybe not do as many reps and one set less, let the body get used to it again.
